2011 racing

Yea, it's been a while. Gotta get back into the blogging groove.
For starters, here's my race schedule for 2011. You'll notice there's a a couple of changes from last year. First, more focus on TTs and almost no crits. I will get to that in a bit. Second, there's a big milestone on there...Vineman Full IM! I figured this would be a good a time as any to knock IM off my list of things to do, so there it is. We'll see by July 30 whether or not that was a good idea!

02/19 - TT - Beat the Clock #1 (Woodside)
03/19 - TT - Beat the Clock #2 (Woodside)
03/27 - TTT - Berkeley Team Time Trial
04/02 - Du 3/18/3 - Du Golden Bears (maybe)
04/09 - TT - Calaveras Time Trial (Fremont)
04/16 - TT - Beat the Clock #3 (Woodside)
04/17 - Tri (super sprint) - Ice Breaker (Granite Bay)
04/30 - Tri 70.3 - Wildflower long course
05/08 - RR - Berkeley Hills Road Race
05/28 - TT - Beat the Clock #4 (Woodside)
06/05 - TT - Dunlap Memorial TT (Davis) or Tri for Real Olympic
06/11 - TT - Taleo ITT (Benicia) or Mt Diablo Hill Climb (Walnut Creek)
06/18 - RR - Pescadero Road Race
06/25 - RR - Spring Hill Road Race or Giro Bello classic
07/02 - TT - Grizzly Peak Three Bears ITT
07/30 - Tri 140.6 - Vineman Full
09/10 - TT - Mt Tam Hill Climb
09/24-25 - Everest Challenge

The Grizzly Peak 3 Bears ITT is a monthly local TT every 1st Saturday that will serve mainly to test my progress and see how well I'm improving.

Also going to start doing the local Port of Oakland (POO) ride (local unsanctioned crit) that happens every Tuesday. Maybe I'll throw a real crit in there as well if I have any success in the local race.

Haven't scheduled any run races...I figured I would get all my run training on my own, hopefully do plenty of long brick workouts...but maybe at least one marathon would be good to do before attempting the big IM.

Last one on the list is the Everest Challenge, which I haven't really planned for, but would be a lot of fun to do...if I'm able to shed some weight!!!

Thoughts?
